Why Double Knots Form in Curly and Coily Hair

Double knots are a frequent frustration for those with curly and coily hair textures. The natural spiral shape of each curl dramatically increases the chance of the strand bending back and crossing over itself. Every time your hair moves or rubs against something, it’s an opportunity for a knot to form.
