Here’s something many don’t realize: A surprisingly high number of hair loss cases I see involve people misunderstanding conditional probability. They might blame a new shampoo, not realizing their recent high-stress event (the known condition) drastically increased the probability of shedding.

Conditional Probability When Your Scalp Feels Off

Imagine your scalp has been itchy and flaky lately. Knowing you have a history of eczema (the first event) significantly increases the probability it’s related.
