Back Combing Survival Guide: When Your Hair Fights Back

If you have fine or color-treated hair, back combing acts like a cheese grater on fragile strands. I’ve treated clients with snap points exactly where they repeatedly teased. Coarse hair withstands it better but still develops mid-shaft splits over time.
