4A Hair is a tightly coiled curl pattern that forms distinct “S” shaped springs about the width of a crochet needle. It naturally retains moisture better than straighter textures but loses it faster than kinkier coils. When 4A Hair Rejects Protein

Protein overload shows instantly in 4A hair as stiff, straw-like coils. Think of protein like concrete filler for damaged areas – too much makes curls rigid instead of flexible. In my clinic, clients using weekly protein treatments often develop breakage at their crown.

The Humidity Surprise for 4A Hair
